A huge thank you to Sam Godwin who is running the London Marathon in memory of his Auntie Jill Garner.
This is his first official marathon and wanted to raise funds for the Cure CJD Campaign recognising the life of his Aunty.
Jill was a fun-loving active 63 year old loved by many, who rapidly succumbed to CJD over a period of a few months, prior to her death at the end of December 2023.
Thank you Sam for everything you are doing - it is truly appreciated. Train well and please keep us updated on how you get on!
Today, we stand in unity to support all rare diseases. We will continue to raise funds to find a cure for CJD and support the wonderful work of the Prion Unit at UCLH. ... See MoreSee Less

This a day when we all come together with our friends across the world to raise awareness of CJD.
We will continue to raise the profile of this horrific illness and will not stop until a cure is found. With you all your continued support and fundraising activities this vision will become a reality.
Please do take some time out to watch this remarkable, short video which is raw, emotional and truly inspiring.
It was made by Leckie (who has inherited CJD) and the team from Goodrich. In the face of a heart breaking situation it shows human spirit and endeavour at its best.
Thank you Leckie, Olivia and all involved , it is really appreciated.
Thanks to our generous supporters, this is a great start, but much more is needed to continue vital research and help to make a viable treatment. With your help, we can reach our target.

Thank you to Connor Bradnam who will be running the Kew Gardens Half Marathon, on Easter Sunday, fund-raising for our campaign.
Connor picks up the story "The CJD Campaign is a charity that is very close to my heart. In 2010 my Grandad sadly passed away from CJD"
"My Grandad was a huge part of my life and helped me with anything I needed, and I want to do all I can to repay him"
"I want to raise as much money as I can to go towards the already fantastic research and help towards hopefully finding a cure"
"Any donations are welcome and greatly appreciated"
Thank you Connor for all you are doing - I'm sure your Grandad would be immensely proud of you.
